As well as designing and building a new four-platform (two-island) station and all associated track, signalling, civil, drainage and overhead line works, the Evolve Bayswater Alliance will build a rail turnback to service the Forrestfield-Airport Link, a new higher bridge at King William Street/Coode Street and make provision to support the Morley-Ellenbrook Line connection.

The project required a services provider with experience in working on large infrastructure projects and working within live rail environments.

PARC Engineering was required to provide an experienced project team to deliver the Main Cable Route (MCR), Drainage, and additional civil works on site. This scope is critical in the delivery of the power, signalling and communications works on the project. If this scope wasn’t delivered in accordance with the programme, it would stop critical rail activities and the client would experience significant productivity delays.

Solutions:

PARC Engineering was required to provide an experienced project team to deliver the Main Cable Route (MCR), Drainage and additional civil works on site.

This included a self-sufficient project team from superintendents, supervisors and engineering and plant and equipment from our own fleet, comprising a 2.7, 5, 8 and 14 Tonne excavator, Posi track loaders, twin drum roller and plate compactors for the completion of the works.

Results
  • Delivering the works ahead of client’s programme.
  • Works completed in a live rail environment.
  • Supporting 24/7 works on site.
  • Works completed LTI free.
  • Safety commendation/awards to PARC Engineering on the project.
