Service Technician

Our client, a global leader in mineral processing technology, is seeking two experienced E&I Technicians to join their team in a long-term embedded contractor capacity.
 
Based from their West Perth office, this role offers a combination of office and field-based work, with approximately 60% of your time spent on customer sites across Australia. You will be fully integrated into the client's operations, representing the business directly in the field while having access to their systems, processes, and technical support network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on servicing, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of mineral processing analytical equipment at customer sites.
  • Represent the OEM professionally while providing technical support and customer liaison services.
  • Conduct equipment inspections in accordance with customer and global procedures.
  • Perform technical evaluations and analyse equipment and component failures.
  • Supervise and oversee site-based projects and commissioning activities.
  • Escalate technical issues to Engineering and Technical Support teams when required.
  • Complete inspection, commissioning and service reports following site visits.
  • Support warranty investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.
  • Maintain accurate records including timesheets, service documentation and expense reports.

About You

  • Proven experience as an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical schematics.
  • Experience with PLC and DCS systems highly regarded.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to travel and work away from home as required, including occasional extended hours and weekend work.
